Don't Burn Paper Offerings Carelessly on Tomb-Sweeping Day

The campaign for civilized tomb-sweeping had finally reached the village. Bai Ning’s prepared paper offerings were turned away at the cemetery entrance. It seemed a waste to throw them out, but taking them home felt inappropriate. When he came across a lonely grave by the roadside, he burned them there instead.

Bai Ning: “It’s a festival, and no one’s come to visit you. Poor thing. These are for you.”

A certain ghost, dead for a thousand years and never worshipped: “This kid looks pretty good.”

Tang Ye is a vicious ghost. The underworld has hunted him for a thousand years and still cannot do anything about him.

Bai Ning is a judge, and his department’s performance target is to capture the vicious ghost Tang Ye.

A thousand years have passed. Tang Ye is still a vicious ghost, but Bai Ning has become entangled in evil thoughts and must go to the human world to cleanse his karma.

Bored with his life as a ghost, Tang Ye finds that even Bai Ning, the only person who ever gave him trouble, has disappeared. Unable to bear the loneliness, he goes looking for Bai Ning in the human world. Then he finds a boy burning paper at his own grave.
