Xian Feng is always clinging to Chu Qinghan.
The entire cultivation world is furious about it. They can't believe this bold demon cultivator dares to pester Chu Qinghan, the brilliant light of the righteous path, and they resent that they're not strong enough to drive her away from Chu Qinghan. Everyone wishes she'd stay far away from the immortal-like Chu Qinghan and stop interrupting her cultivation.
Xian Feng can't really understand why everyone likes Chu Qinghan so much.
The cultivators are like that, and so is her junior sister. Xian Feng first approached Chu Qinghan because she wanted to help her junior sister, who admired Chu Qinghan but was too shy to say so, figure out how to propose. The proposal never happened, but Xian Feng sure made plenty of enemies. Chu Qinghan, who was naturally cold and distant, would furrow her brows whenever she saw Xian Feng, looking as if she wanted to turn and leave immediately. If Xian Feng weren't so nimble, she probably wouldn't be able to catch up.
Xian Feng understands even less what makes Chu Qinghan so likable. Sure, she's a rare beauty, but she's just too cold. That's not Xian Feng's type.
Even when Xian Feng threw herself in the way of a fatal blow meant for Chu Qinghan, she still didn't understand. But as she looked at Chu Qinghan's face, everything else slipped from her mind. She even forgot the pain, thinking only: So this person can cry, after all.

After narrowly surviving, Xian Feng gave the matter some serious thought. The cultivation world's advice to stay away from Chu Qinghan had made sense after all. She hadn't listened, and now she'd gone stupid and nearly lost her life. It was time to learn her lesson.
So she decided to behave herself, keeping a low profile as she recovered and rested, and no longer pestering Chu Qinghan.
But before long, she heard that Chu Qinghan had developed a heart demon, and she couldn't sit still. In the dead of night, she made her way to Chu Qinghan's residence as if she knew the place by heart. There, she saw the cold beauty, who had never accepted a single drink no matter how much Xian Feng tried to coax her, passed out beneath a peach tree. The look she cast at Xian Feng was as fragile as glass.
"...So it's true," Xian Feng heard her whisper. "When I'm drunk, I can see you again."
