[Prince of Tennis] The System Wants Seigaku to Become Number One

A new female manager suddenly appeared at the Seigaku boys' tennis club: Saotome Ayane, the young lady of the Saotome conglomerate.

By offering to donate a building and upgrade the equipment and facilities of every Seigaku club,

she secured absolute authority and became the undisputed boss of the tennis team.

From then on, everyone on the boys' team lived in misery.

She overruled the second- and third-years, giving the first-year rookies a chance to participate in the school's ranking matches and become regulars;

She put the whole team through brutal training and ordered the regulars to practice new moves to her specifications. Anyone who failed to meet her standards was forced to drink terrifying vegetable juice;

She forced everyone to study harder, insisting that anyone who failed even one class would be barred from the tennis tournaments;

She said, “My goal is for Seigaku to win this year's National Tournament!”

The Seigaku team: “Hold on a second! What did you say? What championship???”

Under Saotome Ayane's high-pressure regime, everyone trained desperately to improve themselves.

Only Fuji didn't seem to have much of a desire to win. Saotome Ayane looked through the information provided by the System and decided to give him a reason he couldn't afford to lose.

Then, one day, Fuji accidentally overheard her talking on the phone with her best friend.

If that stupid System hadn't said I'd die from a terminal illness if Seigaku didn't win the National Tournament, do you think I'd want to work myself to death as the great tyrant around here?

What's more fun: scheming against a rich young lady from Hyotei, or taking on delinquent kids with you at Yamabuki?

Fuji: Huh???

Reader's guide:

1. Fuji is the pairing, and it's one-on-one.

2. The timeline begins two years before the little pillar enrolls. The main reason is to save the big pillar's hand.

3. The author is a Seigaku fan.
