The Slacker Transmigrates Into the Comparison Group

When Shen Xia wakes up, she finds herself bound to a System. The System tells her she's transmigrated into a novel as a nouveau riche foil character who has just inherited billions. She's supposed to follow the plot and highlight the female lead's kindness and virtue, or she'll die.

Shen Xia says she'll cooperate completely.

Whether she serves as a foil isn't important. She just happens to think being nouveau riche is pretty great.

Task one: Play a wasteful nouveau riche on a livestream variety show.

So when Shen Xia sees a small island on the livestream, she waves a hand. "Bought it."

She sees a luxury car and swipes her card. "Bought it."

She sees a purple gemstone. "Bought it."

But to her surprise, everyone crowds into her livestream.

"Ahhh, I want to be a nouveau riche like her too! Give us more!"

Shen Xia: ?

Task two: Accept a terrible drama that will air at the same time as the female lead's, and make sure it gets broadcast.

So Shen Xia accepts a flop of a drama. But then a sudden accident occurs, the investor pulls out, and the director prepares to pack up and leave.

How could she let that happen?

Shen Xia waves a hand. "I'll invest. One hundred million. Is that enough?"

But who could have guessed that the drama would become a huge hit after it aired, and Shen Xia would win Best Actress?

Shen Xia: ?

Task three: Get exposed in a scandal for keeping a celebrity idol.

Shen Xia thinks this one is easy. Keeping someone just means meeting his needs and spending money on him.

So Shen Xia picks a young idol who's hated across the internet and on the verge of being blacklisted. She spends millions to get him out of his contract, then pays a fortune to make an album for him.

But as soon as the album comes out, the young idol becomes a sensation across the internet, and Shen Xia makes a fortune.

Shen Xia: ?

She really just wants to be a simple, lazy nouveau riche!

Lin Shengsheng has a System that lets her assign a System to a chosen target and tell them she's the female lead of this world. Then, through her System, she gives the target tasks. If they fail, they'll be punished; if they succeed, they'll pave the way for her fame.

She uses the System to become a popular young star without a hitch, until she chooses Shen Xia, who has become a nouveau riche. That's when things start going wrong.

2. Investment tycoon Lu Shi hears that Shen Xia has gone to great lengths to get close to him and latch onto his powerful connections.

Sure enough, at their very first meeting, Shen Xia hands him a lunchbox and emphasizes that she made it herself.

Her desire to get close to him is obvious.

He opens the lunchbox. Inside lies a plain steamed bun. It's cold, too.
