Li Linlang, the new 26-year-old technician at the Sucheng Public Security Bureau, is dazzling, beautiful, and full of cheeky remarks. She was recruited after hacking through the government firewall.
On her first day, she recognized her new boss as the man who had saved her life during a serial murder case.
Bai Shuhong, 34, is the head of the profiling team and is widely regarded as a man who excels at everything. Mature and steady, with a poker face that never cracks, he nevertheless retains the purest and most generous kind of innocence.
During a meeting with the field team, he borrowed a colleague's phone to call Linlang and put the call on speaker. A whole spiel came from the other end:
"Li Linlang from the Sucheng Public Security Bureau's Technical Department, aka L, at your service, my prince. Just give the word."
Bai Shuhong, awkwardly: "L, could you look something up for me..."
Linlang, panicking on the other end: "As you command, my little capt!"
After that, Linlang was mortified. Whenever she saw Bai Shuhong, she wished she could crawl into a crack in the ground.
He noticed, but assumed it was a work-related issue. One morning, passing her desk, he encouraged her: "You've been doing great work lately. Keep it up."
Linlang said nothing, but a rosy blush inexplicably crept across her face.
Afterward, Bai Shuhong kept remembering that day, and her faintly flushed face. After examining and comparing his feelings with himself time and again, he came to a decision: he had fallen in love.
1. Computer expert x profiler
2. Sweet and wholesome, level 1, mutual pining, warm and realistic
3. Two storylines run in parallel: L's growth and a suspenseful investigation
Theme: When women stand on their own, the whole world opens up before them.
