When Wen Ci was six, he awakened memories of his past life. To avenge himself, he worked his way through the imperial examinations. After failing the metropolitan exam, he finally managed to get a temporary job at the Ministry of Revenue as a junior clerk.
But he was terribly unlucky: he ran into the head of the Northern Garrison Command, was infected with an unknown bug, and was thrown into prison over a case.
For some reason, the commander took a liking to him, and he was transferred to the Northern Garrison Command.

When Wen Ci learned that the bug was actually a love curse, he struggled with it for a while, then decided to make a move.
Beneath the moonlight, Wen Ci nestled into Lu Shangling's arms, wrapped his arms around his waist, nuzzled into his neck, and took a deep breath.
Heh heh.
Easy as pie. This'll be a piece of cake.
And then...
He got pushed away!
Wen Ci was stunned!
Didn't he like him?
Wasn't he the one who fell first?
What was that supposed to mean?!
The little man in Wen Ci's heart flipped and twisted, wishing he could unleash a furious tirade at Lu Shangling!
With a cold look in his eyes, Wen Ci clung to Lu Shangling and took a breath, treating the commander like a giant blood bag.
He watched the cold sweat break out on his face.
He watched the veins bulge in his temples.
Wen Ci sneered.
If he didn't want to get close, he'd just have to put up with it!
Later,
Wen Ci was branded a rebel and fell into Lu Shangling's hands, where he was pinned down hard.
Lu Shangling's gaze was sharp, his voice low: "Wen Ci, if you won't take the broad and easy road, then you'll have to be bound to me."
