Ding! Welcome to the Emotional Plot Twist Revision System.
System 9886 is at your service.
The main System has detected that the Host is experiencing excessive negative emotions over the adventure mission "To: The Faint Star" in Honkai: Star Rail. The Host has been selected to change the ending.
Restriction One:
The Warp system is locked. Get close to the protagonist and earn Friendship Points to unlock it.
Restriction Two:
You are on your own. The System cannot provide any extra help.
Restriction Three:
Do not approach the Aeons. The Stellaron inside your vessel may be affected.
Restriction Four:
You may return to reality only after achieving a happy ending to the story.
Welcome, Host. Go explore your new world.
If Yun Huai had known that staying up all night grinding a game would really get them transmigrated into it by some transmigration deity, and into the side quest "To: The Faint Star," where tragedy strikes right to your face, they would have gone to bed early and gotten up for exercise every day.
But there's no going back, so they can only soldier on through their tears.
At most, they can curse the writers for making the plot so heartbreaking.
Fortunately, after waking up on the Herta Space Station, they had a transmigration golden finger system.
But why did the System only give them a physical body and a stick?! Where's the Warp system? The characters? The rumored Fire Trailblazer? This won't do!
Yun Huai knocks on the System's door, trying to wheedle some skills out of it.
Yun Shuijian: Can't you give me a little more help?
System: Host, please make friends in earnest. Get close to the story's protagonist, earn their Friendship Points, and change the ending.
Yun Shuijian: What happened to the characters I pulled? Where did they go?
System: Host, please make friends in earnest. Get close to the story's protagonist, earn their Friendship Points, unlock the Warp system, and change the ending.
Yun Shuijian: Can't you just have the characters help me directly?
System: That's right! The System can only provide some of the Warp characters' abilities!
Yun Shuijian: Could you act normal for once...
Bernard: You can cross space, but time is beyond your reach!
Rocky: But I'm going after her. I'm going to chase time!
May you cross the cruel expanse of time, witness the wonders of the galaxy, and embrace the love of your future.
Trailblazer, see you at the wedding.
A side note: On my very first day playing Honkai: Star Rail, the red ending of "To: The Faint Star" stabbed me right in the heart. I couldn't let it go, and immediately fell down the rabbit hole.
Because the flow of time differs along the space-time curve, Rocky and Lesley experience time at different rates. By the time Lesley returns to the space station and gets off the train, Rocky may already be old, while Lesley is still young. They confess their love, but time keeps them apart, so Rocky chooses to chase after Lesley's time. The ending is open.
Here, I just wanted to imagine a happy ending where Rocky catches up with Lesley's time. I hope that in some world, they cross the space-time curve and aren't separated by time. The world isn't fully explored, and the characters may be out of character, because I don't know what happens next.
This is really just a made-up, happy-ever-after story.
I love happy endings.
Theme: May all lovers find their way to each other
Wow, Rocky and Leslie are really sad for each other. Their answers after choosing the truth are really touching...
Come on! Keep writing! Looking forward to the adventures of the protagonist and the train crew!!! (Longjun Danheng pr prprprpr)
