A Wind Blows

Every season became beautiful when I kissed him, and my whole body grew damp.

It was a childish game between us. Chen Wangchi never let me smoke at first. But when I wore him down and he had no choice, he would grip my chin and turn his head to kiss me. The smoke was harsh, and he pressed his lips tightly against mine, the dryness of his lips and the taste of smoke brushing along the inside of my mouth. The smoke drifted into my lungs, carrying Chen Wangchi's scent.

Sometimes I'd sneak a cigarette. When he caught me, he would tap it against his own and say, "Cheers."

"Kids only get one drink."

Even though he was only a year older than me.

Happy ending, rural and urban life
