After the Rich Heir's Ex Fell on Hard Times

Rong Jing was born into a wealthy family and wanted for nothing. He should have been adored by everyone, but in reality, people avoided him like the plague.

At twelve, he declared he would kill his own father. At fifteen, he pushed his stepmother down the stairs, and he nearly killed his younger brother, too.

The rebellious youth cared about nobody's opinion.

Yan Zhuo and Rong Jing first met after a provocation.

Yan Zhuo had heard all about the eldest son of the Rong family and his terrible exploits. But he also saw the pain and misery the young man kept hidden, and fell for him.

From confessing and being rejected to finally receiving an answer after hope seemed lost, Yan Zhuo experienced all the sweet and bitter feelings of loving someone before he and Rong Jing got together.

He never imagined that it was all a scheme, that Rong Jing was using him.

When the lies were exposed, he finally believed that this man really was rotten to the core.

After the truth came out, someone asked Rong Jing, "Aren't you afraid you'll get what's coming to you for playing with people like this?"

The words proved prophetic.

Barely six months after they broke up, the Rong family was destroyed overnight. Their relatives were scattered, and everyone took the opportunity to kick them while they were down. The once-arrogant young master endured every hardship as fate toyed with him.

When they met again, Rong Jing was caught up in a scandal over "harassing a colleague." His name was dragged through the mud, and the whole internet turned against him.

His former lover had parachuted into the company as its president, becoming his highest-ranking boss.

In the office, Rong Jing stood in silent opposition to the dignified man sitting in the chair, his eyes lowered halfway. After a long while, the man finally spoke:

"All these years later, you've certainly picked up a few more tricks."

"You used to toy with people's feelings. Now you play even dirtier. I underestimated you, Young Master Rong."

His words were cold and calm. No one could tell that the only reason they had met again was because one of them had carried his resentment for years.

A little scene:

That night, Yan Zhuo took off his gloves, damp with moisture, and pressed his thumb against the flushed outer corner of Rong Jing's eye. "Crying already?"

"Now that you're in my hands," he leaned down and whispered, his voice almost gentle, "what are you going to do?"

Later, Yan Zhuo regretted it many times. He shouldn't have treated him so cruelly.

A beautiful, fragile bottom who pretends to be normal, cold on the outside and soft on the inside, versus a powerful top who wants to force his way but struggles to hold back as he comes close to losing his mind
