Turning Into a Cat in Front of My Nemesis

During the summer break before his sophomore year of high school, Jiang Jihan was ambushed and inexplicably turned into an orange tabby. His archenemy, He Zhuolian, took him home as a pet. Furious, Jiang Jihan clawed his enemy on the spot and kept his secret identity firmly hidden. He absolutely couldn't let He Zhuolian find out. Who knew his archenemy would be such a weirdo? He did jigsaw puzzles with a cat and even explained physics problems to it. Even worse, Jiang Jihan's cover was blown without warning. He turned into a cat right in front of He Zhuolian. A stampede of a thousand horses seemed to gallop through Jiang Jihan's mind. Seeing the smile at the corner of He Zhuolian's mouth, he sensed trouble and turned to flee, only to be seized by the scruff of his neck. Jiang Jihan: He Zhuolian, how dare you grab me by the scruff! In reality, all that came out was a string of furious meows. He Zhuolian held him captive in his arms and even took the opportunity to pet his head. Jiang Jihan heard him chuckle. "Those are some nice meows. Keep going." Jiang Jihan: "..." [Gong's perspective] He Zhuolian was completely shunned by animals. From childhood onward, every animal ran away the moment it saw him. Then, on the first day of summer vacation before his sophomore year of high school, he found a tiny orange kitten on the road. To his surprise, the kitten didn't run away. It clawed him on the spot and seemed to curse him out, looking adorably fierce, silly, and bristly, just like Jiang Jihan, who treated him as an archenemy all on his own. He chuckled. "Are you and Jiang Jihan the same species? How else could you look so alike?" The kitten reacted even more dramatically, so he named it Jiang Xiaohan while it meowed furiously at him. But Jiang Xiaohan kept disappearing for no apparent reason, then reappearing just as mysteriously. He also noticed that his cat seemed a lot like Jiang Jihan, even down to their tastes. And whenever his cat was around, Jiang Jihan was nowhere to be seen. He Zhuolian came to an almost absurd conclusion. Just as he was about to test it, he saw Jiang Jihan turn into Jiang Xiaohan right before his eyes. The other boy turned to run, but He Zhuolian was quick enough to grab him by the scruff. As the cat cursed and meowed, he pulled him into his arms and took the chance to stroke his little head. "Those are some nice meows. Keep going." [Reading Guide] 1.
