Pick a General to Haunt

Ever since Bai Qi took up his sword and fought on the battlefield, he had never taken the demons and monsters of this world seriously.

But when he really was possessed by a "ghost," the boy who had yet to become the Butcher of Men sought out a shaman for the first time. He spent three days and three nights amid strange muttering and clouds of smoke.

Afterward, Bai Qi, with bloodshot eyes and unsteady feet, no longer believed in shamanism or divination.

The consequences of allowing a certain "ghost" to coexist with him were these:

He was robbed of the honor of receiving his first promotion;

Every time he accompanied the king, eerie shrieks followed behind them;

Worst of all, that woman got drunk at a palace banquet, used his body to clink her cup, and loudly sang "Phoenix Seeks Its Mate"!

The court officials sent their congratulations: #SoThisIsTheRealBaiQi#

Bai Qi sharpened his sword through the night. He vowed not to rest until he had slain the female ghost.

But when he finally caught that woman, he could no longer bring himself to swing his sword.

--She was the only white in his blood-red world.

[Po Yi: 1. A vulgar word meaning woman; 2. A rough term for wife or spouse.]

A let-loose-and-have-fun Warring States slice-of-life story (probably).

That's all for the blurb for now.
