After the Catastrophe, I Took It Easy and Became a Big Shot

Lu Liang has a terminal illness. His doctor tells him he won't live past twenty-five at most, and then, when he's twenty-three, the apocalypse arrives.

Extreme weather, mutated creatures, and humanity's habitable land being steadily devoured. The world is plunged into misery.

Lu Liang had been wondering why disaster had to strike him of all people, but suddenly he felt at peace.

He realized that being able to live out the rest of his life naturally in this apocalypse was already a heaven-sent blessing.

So, at the dawn of the apocalypse, the now-peaceful Lu Liang sold off all his possessions.

He found a scenic spot with good feng shui, stocked up on two years' worth of supplies, and settled into a little utopia of reading and farming.

He even picked out where he would be buried after he died, just waiting for those two years to pass.

But two years later... Lu Liang was not only still alive and well.

Even the Ancient Art of Artifact Refining, which he had practiced just to pass the time, seemed to have actually worked??

Lu Liang: ...That worked too?? So should I keep staying home, or should I keep staying home??

Two years into the apocalypse, survival is a struggle for humanity. Money has become worthless, and food is now the most precious thing of all.

This month, the Northern Base is facing its worst famine yet.

To keep humanity alive, the team of ability users led by Xie Xu has no choice but to accept a dangerous mission: capture a 'Level Three Threat Sea Beast.'

Before setting out, everyone on Xie Xu's team has made peace with the possibility of dying out there and never coming back.

But just as they reach the shore, before they can even put on a suitably tragic expression, they spot a young man dressed so cleanly he could not possibly be cleaner.

He tosses something strange, a little trinket that looks a bit like a 'magical artifact,' into the sea.

The water instantly boils, and the 'Level Three Threat Sea Beast' is caught fast, unable to struggle in the slightest!

What's more, when the young man notices them, he blushes and scratches his nose, stammering:

"Um... would you like some crayfish? I can't eat them all by myself. Seafood has to be eaten fresh, or it'll spoil if you leave it too long."

Xie Xu and the others, who are starving at the base and never know where their next meal is coming from: "...Huh?!"
