[British and American Entertainment] Hollywood Rock Journal

The summer of 1991 was the starting point of Joelle Appleby's journey toward independence. She's a California girl who grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. She's a trust-fund kid worth hundreds of millions. She's the biggest troublemaker at a private girls' school in Manhattan. No! She refuses to be defined by these labels. Who will she become? The lead singer of an indie band, winning so many Grammys she can't keep count? A dazzling actress, sweeping the Oscars and all three major European film festivals until everyone is sick of it? A producer hailed as a genius, starting small and churning out hit after hit, reshaping Hollywood's balance of power? Well, someone once said that a Grammy-winning singer who doesn't want an Oscar isn't a good billionaire! But it could also go another way... She spends years as a perennial nominee without ever winning, works hard despite being able to get rich without lifting a finger, has a love life full of rumors so murky that people suspect she dates just to write songs, and is known as a business prodigy held back by Hollywood... Also known as: I Could Lie Flat and Inherit the Family Fortune, But Mom Says I Need to Find Something to Do My Looks Would Be Such a Waste If I Didn't Give Hollywood a Chance How Is This Goddess So Good at Acting and Songwriting That She Leaves Nothing for Anyone Else?
