Chi Mo & Shen Yu

They were supposed to be strangers with no reason to ever cross paths.

Shen Yu was rebellious and biased.

Chi Mo was gentle and steadfast.

Then they met through a chance act of heroism.

The boy sat beneath the scholar tree,

while the girl stood in the sunlight.

And the two became friends.

They ran together in the rain, walked for ages along that seemingly endless stretch of Ping'an Fourth Road, confessed their feelings at a sports meet, and each shone at the school gala.

Then an accident sent Shen Yu to another city.

Shen Yu studied desperately to catch up with Chi Mo.

They chose each other, and came running toward each other.

Only later did Chi Mo learn that Shen Yu was the bad boy who smoked, wore earrings, and got beaten up in the rain.

Even then, Shen Yu had chosen to spend his whole life loving her.
