The Number One Exorcist in 1980s Hong Kong

Working title

Hua Buluo, a Celestial Master from Mount Longhu, fails to survive her heavenly tribulation and is struck by lightning, sending her back to the 1980s in the body of a young woman who has fled to Hong Kong in search of her family.

To her surprise, the “little ones” who had been by her side in her previous life come along too. Hua Buluo’s new body is too frail for them, and one by one they start rebelling, clamoring for a place to stay.

Standing on a bustling street in Causeway Bay, Hua Buluo covers her ears. “Do you have any idea how expensive houses are here? One each? I couldn’t afford that even if I sold myself!”

Hong Kong gains a Celestial Master who accepts nothing but houses as payment.

She calculates people’s merits and wrongs with her fingers, and the officers of Kowloon Police Station are forced to work overtime, reopening old cases through the night.

She divines the arcane secrets of fate, drawing countless wealthy merchants to her, eager to offer all kinds of luxurious mansions.

Later, Hua Buluo, owner of luxury properties worth tens of billions, is interviewed and asked why she wants houses instead of money.

Hua Buluo: “There are too many people in my family. We need one house each. What can I do?”
