The Beastcatcher's Heart

In the year ninety million of the Divine Era, a huge hole suddenly appeared in the sky, putting all living beings in danger.

According to the Book of Heaven and Earth: "On the southwestern mountain lives a beast named Liying. It has a fearsome appearance and fangs, and a vicious nature. Its heart is hard as stone, and is said to be strong enough to mend the rift in the sky."

The Heavenly Emperor bestowed a divine dagger upon me, the immortal Dan Chu, and sent me to the mortal realm to capture the vicious beast Liying and take its heart to mend the rift in the sky.

I went to the southwestern mountain myself. There was no fearsome beast from the scriptures, only a very handsome man.

After a long struggle, just as I was about to cut out the beast's heart, Liying grabbed the wrist of the hand holding my dagger. "Be my spouse for three days. If I'm satisfied, you can take the beast's heart while it's still beating."

Me, an immortal: ?
