This is a world abandoned by the gods. The last true god in the world, compassionate and caring for all under heaven, could not bear the loneliness. Using its divine essence, it created the gods of later generations. Knowing that it, too, would eventually disappear, it hoped they would protect all living beings in its place.
Gods of later generations came into being one after another, living beneath the protection of the true god's radiance and feeding on the faith of mortals. But they were sensitive, suspicious, and obsessive. They had no concern for the common good, only for themselves and those close to them.
The true god realized this and resolutely sacrificed itself to mend this flaw in their souls.
Everything went smoothly. After two generations had passed, things finally returned to normal. The new gods no longer remembered the true god or the shameful past. They were busy with their own affairs and had emotions just like humans.
But the true god's disappearance also meant that divine power in the world was drying up. The gods of later generations would eventually vanish just as the true god had. Only three gods remained: Qie An, God of Calamity; Ji Li, God of Death; and Taliso, the Supreme God.
The lesser gods feared death. Ever since the Snow God fell, this false divine realm had gradually grown restless.
At last, even Qie An, God of Calamity, began to weaken. Disjointed memories, false truths, a friend's betrayal, a lover's death, and tangled emotions... She gave up on herself.
