After graduating, Jiang Baizhu opened a milk tea shop, though his actual profession was Taoist priest.
Business at the shop was neither booming nor terrible, but he didn't mind, because he had a side gig: writing novels.
Unfortunately, his novels were just as uneventful as his milk tea shop.
One day, he found a new comment beneath his story:
Soul-Seizing Envoy Ma Mian: Huh? Where did this living-world story come from? How did it show up in my feed?
Little Jiang the Taoist Never Takes a Loss replied: Where did you, an underworld reader, come from? How did I run into you?
A few days later, he was astonished to find a flood of comments in his novel's dashboard:
Reincarnation Office Tai Ao: Your writing is amazing! Sob, I can't get enough! I'm throwing a tantrum and rolling on the floor, begging for more updates!
Underworld Ghost Envoy Sun Patrol God: Why am I only seeing this story today! @Underworld Ghost Envoy Night Patrol God No time to explain, hop on!
Jiang Baizhu: ??? What kind of underworld organization is this?
Then Jiang Baizhu noticed more and more people were bookmarking his story, and readers with nearly identical usernames kept leaving comments and chatting.
At last, his story became popular. Readers urged him to create a group chat, and so the [Underworld Chat Group] was born.
He wrote a little story about the Great Emperor of Fengdu and a Heavenly Master:
[Underworld Chat Group]: Completely losing our minds!
The next second: ["Reincarnation Office Tai Ao" invited "Great Emperor of Fengdu" to join the group chat]
Reincarnation Office Tai Ao: @Great Emperor of Fengdu Look, look! [Forwarded link...]
Great Emperor of Fengdu: ? Interesting.
One day, Little Jiang the Taoist took a job to exorcise evil spirits. The client stammered over the phone: "Taoist, I... I think I've encountered something supernatural!"
Jiang Baizhu: "Could you tell me more?"
The other person: "I wanted to leave a bad review for a novel, but every time I post it, it disappears on its own! My phone keeps breaking for no reason, too. Sob, it's terrifying..."
Little Jiang the Taoist rolled up his sleeves, ready to "rid the people of this menace."
Then he discovered that the novel the client wanted to review was his own, and the one secretly deleting the comments was his novel's top donor.
Little Jiang the Taoist was left reeling: So my readers really are from the underworld!
Yu Yuan had a secret known to every ghost: he loved reading novels.
After his subordinates discovered that their big-shot boss had such an approachable hobby, they started writing stories of their own without being asked.
Thus, the app Tales of Fengdu at Night was officially launched, much to Yu Yuan's satisfaction.
But the writing from the underworld's underlings was truly bland and flavorless. They just didn't get what he liked, and Yu Yuan was disappointed.
It was rare for him to find a story that perfectly suited his tastes, and from then on, he began following it chapter by chapter.
The Great Emperor of Fengdu had been a shut-in for ten thousand years, indifferent to everything but work and novels.
Yet when the "immortal author" he followed was slandered, he was moved to murderous intent.
The majestic ruler of Fengdu stared anxiously at his phone, determined to stop the other person from posting malicious comments and ruining the mood of his "immortal author."
Every time the other person posted a bad review, he immediately intercepted and deleted it. They went back and forth all night, acting as childish as elementary schoolers.
In the end, he simply took matters into his own hands and smashed the other person's phone.
But he had forgotten that the young author he followed seemed to have another identity.
So, not long afterward, just as he was about to "strike" again, a golden light locked onto him.
Looking at the handsome young Taoist across from him, solemnly forming hand seals and chanting incantations, he felt his heart stir.
Yu Yuan: My head is itchy. Is a lovestruck brain about to grow out of it? (starry-eyed and expectant)
A wayward young Taoist bottom x a lovestruck, split-personality big-shot top
One-on-one pairing: Jiang Baizhu is the bottom, Yu Yuan is the top
P.S. The top may not get many scenes early on, but he will appear (fidgeting)
*Important, bold and highlighted!!: This story is entirely fictional. It's all made up. Believe in science, and don't apply it to real life!!!

Finally drank this cup of milk tea that I have been longing for.
Wow, so many updates. Thank you for your hard work. Take care of yourself.
What, the cute girl captured the wild king, this pair of CPs are so cute! But I suddenly remembered that this is a supernatural novel. What will be the direction of this couple next? Looking forward to it. Jpg
There has been no update for a year. My wife is a high school student. Is she going to go to higher school? Or is the focus of life now shifting to work? [Question mark]
Damn—why haven't you updated yet—
Yeah, welcome back the missing persons!!! (Hurry up and hand over the stored food)
Squatting update (big, hungry, begging for food)
Ah, when will it be updated?
What! Why are you still related to your senior brother?
? Why do you feel like the villain hasn't shown up yet?
