According to the records, the earliest documented unnatural and bizarre death dates back to 1980. Some researchers believe it marked the beginning of all the anomalies.
After that, incomprehensible and bizarre incidents began occurring around the world.
Those unlucky enough to be caught up in them either vanished without a trace, left behind an unrecognizable corpse, or became raving, mentally deranged people who were impossible to communicate with.
From the few words gleaned at the cost of blood, governments around the world realized that the peaceful, stable world they knew was being invaded by evil gods from beyond Earth.
Thus was born the Earth Defense Force, made up of a group of special operatives with extraordinary abilities from different countries.
We will put aside worldly disputes over profit,
work together to stop every strange incident,
and do our utmost to halt the invasion of the evil gods.
We resist darkness and evil, and protect our homes.
We fight madness and danger, bearing the burden as we go.
We cannot retreat, not until madness devours us.
