The Last Human

After the great catastrophe, humanity exhausted all its strength to send out just over a hundred thousand people.

The chosen ones.

The people envied and hated by everyone, yet burdened with everyone's hopes.

They all died.

Drifting through space, Feng Si became the only human survivor he knew of.

But he was close to death, too.

He couldn't die. Whatever it took, he had to stay alive.

Driven by that resolve, he returned to his home planet.

The planet etched into his genetic memory was a devastated wasteland, teeming with death.

Every place not submerged by seawater had turned a despairing shade of gray.

But now, forests and snowy plains covered the land, lush and green as far as the eye could see.

Reader Advisory:

1. The protagonist is the only human. He is delicate and frail, but his technology can protect him and make him invincible on the planet.

2. The home planet has recovered after the great catastrophe and new intelligent species have evolved. There are no humanoid creatures. (Other characters will not take human form, even if they are not human to begin with.)

3. To preserve the human genome, the protagonist may do extreme things, such as various biological experiments and genetic modifications. Please don't judge these special circumstances by the standards of normal society.

4. The protagonist bears the mission of reproducing humanity (if you don't like that, don't read), and the story will very likely include childbirth.

Theme: The human flame will never go out.
