Blurb:
[A hot, sexy beauty with a fiery temper + a top-tier male star who seems cold but is actually adorably soft and sweet]
Both leads are each other’s first. The female lead is a year older than the male lead. He has a surprising cute side, cries easily, and likes calling her “big sis.”
To write a thesis about background actors, Guan Guo has spent years hanging around Hengdian World Studios. Thanks to her outstanding acting and stunning figure, she lands a role as the villainess in a campus romance. The male lead is Ying Ran, a top-tier star and the returning captain of a boy band, while the female lead is an innocent, delicate beauty who has been all the rage lately.
Guan Guo knows she has had an intimidating appearance since childhood. The only person who became her friend was her roommate Yuan Li, a sweet girl with a carefree personality. But she never expected the female lead to give her trouble as soon as she joined the production.
She has never been one to take a loss, and she likes to get even on the spot.
Trying to slap me for the sake of the plot? Let’s see if your hand is faster than mine. I’ll slap you first, and you won’t dare make a peep.
Trying to get the assistant director to kick me off the set? I’ll show you what it means to have a silver tongue and talk my way out of anything.
What? You want your bodyguards to grab me, too? I...
Wait!
The justice-loving male lead actually threatened the female lead outright: “If you cause trouble again, I’ll quit the production!”
He even let me join his team so I could avoid trouble by sticking with a crowd.
This top-tier star is a keeper! What a genuinely good guy!
When your next album comes out, I’ll buy eight or ten copies to support you.
After filming wraps, Guan Guo returns to school and discovers that the top-tier star who stole her first kiss under the pretext of rehearsing has apparently decided he’s her boyfriend. He even follows her to campus to pursue her...
Dude, don’t come any closer!
Men will only slow down my research and thesis writing!
I just want to be a scholar, not a sister-in-law hunted down by female fans.
Please leave me alone!!!
Ying Ran looks confused and aggrieved. “Big Sis, didn’t you say that whoever kissed you would be your boyfriend? If you don’t agree, hmph, I’m not leaving! Big Sis, Big Sis, Big Sis... Meow meow meow, hurry up and take pity on this poor little thing!”
Content notes:
The leads’ characterization differs quite a bit from how they were portrayed in My Blind Dates Always Seem to Be on Dates, and some parts of the timeline might not line up either. When I was writing the blind-date story, I kept debating whether to start this one about background actors, so I wasn’t sure how to handle the leads’ relationship development, and the plot wasn’t very well arranged. Please just treat this as a brand-new story.
*Completed sweet romance: My Blind Dates Always Seem to Be on Dates
[Blind dates can lead to sweet romance, too: an adorable, straightforward woman + a man who gets face-slapped and comes around]
*They first meet on a dating show, where he rejects her. When they meet again, a sweet romance blossoms. At first, the male lead is rather cold toward her, thinking her cute, ditzy personality will be a hassle. Later, he falls for her and pursues her.
*A blunt, naive, adorable female lead who loves letting her imagination run wild + a seemingly cold and aloof IT guy who is actually sharp-tongued but softhearted.
*A sweet romance with no misunderstandings between the leads, and funny supporting characters who play matchmaker.
Theme: Bloom where you are planted, and the gentle breeze will find you.
