He Mianmian wakes up to find herself back three years in the past. She knows that the apocalypse will arrive in two years. In a single night, the entire country will be plunged into an icy freeze, plants and animals will mutate, many people will die and turn into zombies, and some will gain supernatural abilities and survive. Back then, she was teaching in Jiling Village.
When the apocalypse comes, almost everyone in the village turns into a zombie. He Mianmian has only gained a spatial ability, with no combat strength, and is left helpless and alone, struggling to survive. Just as she is surrounded by zombies and about to be overwhelmed and devoured, Dong Weiming, a strapping bachelor well past his prime, rescues her and helps her break through the encirclement. Afterward, they find a place to live in the mountains. As they gradually grow familiar with each other, their affection deepens. She is constantly worried about her mother, who lives in the city, so Dong Weiming takes her back there. On the way, they are attacked by a giant dog. Dong Weiming risks his life to protect her, but she is still injured and falls unconscious. To her surprise, when she wakes up, she is back three years in the past.
Back then, she discovers that she already has the spatial ability she gained two years later. Determined to use it to prepare for the apocalypse, she arranges to meet Dong Weiming early and marry him.
"I heard Weiming is going to marry Teacher He, the one who came from the city to teach here."

He Mianmian doesn't mind the village gossip in the least. She runs straight to Dong Weiming's nearly empty home and throws herself into the arms of the tall, strapping man.
Dong Weiming looks down at his beautiful bride-to-be, who hasn't married into his family yet, and still can't believe it. He can't understand why, the first time they met, He Mianmian's opening words to him were, "I heard you've been going on blind dates since graduating from university, and now you're thirty with no one willing to marry you. How about marrying me?"
Dong Weiming stares blankly without answering, but He Mianmian makes the decision for him. "Since you didn't say no, I'll take that as a yes."
