Weather: Blizzard.
Shen Tingzhou somehow ended up on a strange subway train.
The white-and-green carriage looked like it had been chewed up like faded, cheap gum. The metal handrails gleamed with a dull, ashen chill. Black clouds churned with the blizzard outside the windows, while flickering yellow lights and the faint crackle of electricity inside the carriage made his scalp tingle.
The conductor was a strange old man, his face lined like a dead tree. An ID badge on the left side of his chest read: Employee No. 1-21.
Employee No. 1-21 forced a smile and told Shen Tingzhou,
"At the heart of the Abyssal Sea stands a colossal lighthouse, alight by day and shining through the darkest night."
As he finished speaking, the lights in the carriage flickered, and a low, icy announcement sounded:
"This train's final stop: the Lighthouse. Survival countdown: 8 hours. We wish you a pleasant journey."
Theme: Love never sleeps, and neither does the light.
