Jason, a lonely little monster with no one to rely on, was lured into working for an infinite-flow company by some nonsense about an 8,000-yuan monthly salary with room and board included.
Only after joining did he learn that the workday was 22 hours long, the food was awful, and the cafeteria was where they slept.
The NPC job he imagined:
Mysterious and unfathomable, mowing down everyone in sight!
The NPC job in reality:
Player: I was following him just now and nearly got caught. Good thing I was quick and hid.
Jason: You mean that trash can shaking like it has Parkinson's? I saw it. I just pretended I didn't.
Player: The NPC's clues are so well hidden. This diary must be about his life.
Jason: Ever wonder why I'm so busy every day and still have time to write a diary? It's all for you to read!
Player: I followed him and saw him talking to a female ghost with my own eyes.
Jason: Oh, right, right, right. I left the door unlocked and open because I was waiting for you to follow me.
The top NPC he imagined:
Scattered fragments of himself throughout the instances, never showing his true face.
The top NPC in reality:
"Hurry and place your orders, players! Order an S-rank item now and I'll personally throw in an A-rank item for free! The more you buy, the more you get. Only five orders left! Countdown: 3, 2, 1. Link's up!"
The players he imagined:
Careful thinkers, probing every step of the way.
The players in reality:
"Hey, I ordered a prank item in a livestream the other day. It can broadcast an NPC's inner thoughts! Let me see which unlucky sucker I should use it on. That black-haired one, what's his name, Jason?"
The item activated, broadcasting the NPC's inner thoughts to every player:
[Aw, the doctor's so cute. When is he going to say yes to my confession?]
Players: ?
The infinite-flow company exploited its workers without restraint. The executives were rolling in money, while the low-level employees went hungry every day.
A genius intern deliberately courted by the upper ranks as a pawn in their power struggle,
Jason declared: This dump of a company needs reform!
So...
Jason secretly joined the players' group and became the high-powered commander everyone clamored for;
He secretly bought off low-ranking NPCs in every department, using the power of the people to steer the instances;
He planted informants in the System, cutting off the executives' access to information;
And with his charms, he won the favor of Klein, one of the company's top executives.
In a cramped secret meeting room,
Jason raised his eyes, smiling brightly. "Did you take care of those trash directors?"
Klein toyed with his long hair and approached Jason, who sat in a chair. "What do you think?"
Jason gave him a playful wink, gazing up at the man who stood a head taller. "How should I reward you? Would one kiss be enough?"
Klein leaned in and sat on his sturdy lap. "Not enough. Nowhere near enough..."
Jason's protests were swallowed by their meeting lips. After a long while, he sighed. "It's about time we replaced the president of this infinite-flow company."
An unconventional infinite-flow story with a heavy dose of workplace fatigue. The instances feature loops and multiple endings.
Jason, a mentally unstable yet emotionally fragile monster x Klein, a terrifying doctor who pretends to be a refined gentleman but is actually a hard-fisted educator
Theme: Pursue true love and express yourself
CccA good life begins with epilepsy?
It's so miserable. The NPC workplace needs the NPC union to protect their work rights.
