#ImaGawa Jiachi: lost his memory from the start, stuck on a certain Detective Conan set, currently at the Black Organization. Question: How do I survive?#

Recently, a special-edition trailer for a certain Detective Conan manga came out. It immediately set off a wave of fans rushing to watch, and shot to the top of the trending charts in a single night.

According to the official announcement, the biggest draw of this special edition was that all five members of the police academy squad would survive, along with other random acts of redemption. The news sent the fans into a frenzy once again.

None of this had anything to do with ImaGawa Jiachi. He'd watched the Detective Conan manga out of boredom back in elementary school, and now, at twenty-one, he barely remembered the plot. At most, he could recall a few names.

But... the problem was, he was now inside that special edition!!! (Screams helplessly.jpg)

He'd also been given an unreliable System, four tragic, powerful, and beautiful secret identities, and their scripts.

"Ahem..." 0818 quietly explained the situation to ImaGawa Jiachi. "As you can see, you've transmigrated into the newly released Detective Conan special edition."

"If you want to go home, you have to play the tragic, powerful, and beautiful role in all four scripts. This System will provide the scripts and the secret identities you can use..."

"0818" continued, "The production team originally made this special edition to make up for past regrets. But because of an unspeakable factor, someone needs to redeem those regrets, and you are the lucky one who was chosen..."

"Sorry," ImaGawa Jiachi interrupted "0818." "What does making up for past regrets have to do with me playing a tragic, powerful, and beautiful character?"

"0818" stuttered for a moment, then said coldly, "Insufficient authorization. I cannot tell you." (Coldly.jpg)

But after a heated discussion (crossed out), the two of them finally reached an agreement. ImaGawa Jiachi could rewrite the scripts himself and send his Black Organization secret identities to the Orange Grove, as long as he didn't break character. In exchange, he alone would bear all the consequences.

ImaGawa Jiachi: Great!

And so, the following situations came to pass:

[The Police Academy Student Who Left the Dark Side]

In the original script for Secret Identity Number One, he was meant to have a love-hate relationship with the five members of the police academy squad. ImaGawa Jiachi waved his hand and rewrote the script so Number One was moved by his fellow student and gave up the dark side, going straight to the police to turn himself in.

ImaGawa Jiachi had achieved one quarter of his goal, but the ending surprised him and gave him a headache.

[The Calm Lunatic Trapped in the Organization]

The original script for Secret Identity Number Two: a dramatic rivalry with Shuichi Akai.

After ImaGawa Jiachi rewrote it: Number Two's father was actually Akai's senior. Number Two could have become Akai's colleague, but the Organization was vile. As Number Two spent time with Akai, he gradually uncovered the truth about his own origins. After a sudden realization, he went to the FBI to turn himself in.

Original script: a back-and-forth entanglement with Hiromitsu Morofushi.

After the rewrite: Hiromitsu Morofushi looked at the underage test subject before him, lit a cigarette with a world-weary expression.jpg, and planned to send Secret Identity Number Three to a foster home.

Secret Identity Number Three was moved by the light and obediently went to the foster home, betraying the Organization in the process.

[The Famous Detective with a Dark Heart]

Original script: Secret Identity Number Four was an idol admired by Conan, but crossed the line of the law, leaving Conan utterly devastated.jpg.

After the rewrite: Since nothing Secret Identity Number Four had done could be undone, ImaGawa Jiachi agreed to turn himself in under Conan's hesitant yet resolute gaze.

But the truth was always stranger than expected. ImaGawa Jiachi gave Edogawa Conan a "death."

In reality: ImaGawa Jiachi had just decided to take Secret Identity Number Four to turn himself in when he ran into Rei Furuya.

Rei Furuya furrowed his brows and grabbed ImaGawa Jiachi by the back of his collar, lifting him off the ground.

ImaGawa Jiachi heard Rei Furuya say, unhurriedly, "This is your fourth time turning yourself in, right? What did this secret identity do this time? Never mind, none of that matters. The final battle is coming soon. If there's nothing wrong with your fourth secret identity, infiltrate the Organization and give us a hand in the final battle."

That was what Rei Furuya said, having already pushed the story to the final battle.

Fate had ImaGawa Jiachi by the throat: ??? Huh??? Wait, what...? How does this blond bastard know??? Huh???

This is the third time I've rewritten the blurb, and I may change it again. Compared with the second version, this one adds a lot of new details and more potential triggers. Here's what you need to know and what to watch out for. There's also a list of notes and potential triggers in the author's note at the end of Chapter Three.

· This novel includes a reborn Rei Furuya (on the Red side) and an alternate version of ImaGawa Jiachi. ImaGawa Jiachi has lost his memory and is on his second run. The System, "0818," is also on its second run, and is a good System!!

· There will be rescues. All five members of the police academy squad will be saved (mainly by Rei Furuya), and other characters will be saved according to my plans, provided there are no plot holes.

· ImaGawa Jiachi, the protagonist, is Red through and through! (in bold) The original characters won't see the four secret identities as tragic, powerful, and beautiful. First, they're capable of making their own judgments. Second, this is just a short, somewhat silly, everyday-life Detective Conan fanfic. Don't expect me to write tragic, powerful, and beautiful characters, okay? (sincerely) Read the main story for the actual plot.

Fourth revision: The main story has no pairing. The extras have a pairing, with a selfcest warning!!! (bold)

In the second version, Secret Identity Number Two had an unrequited crush. In the third version, the crush was on the protagonist himself. The current version has mutual feelings, but there's no pairing in the main story, only in the extras.

The pairing is selfcest!! Selfcest!!! But not with the secret identities, okay--)

· This is a writing practice story, so expect amateur prose, illogical parts, and plot holes everywhere. Please be understanding (deep bow).

There are forum posts and a System.

· This is a free story and will probably not be paywalled.

· The amnesiac ImaGawa Jiachi is no match for Rei Furuya (pondering). The Rei Furuya in this story is an even more powerful version.

To balance the Red and Black sides, I've added a lot of forces to the Black side, too.

· I won't break up canon couples, so don't worry, but I might not write any of their romantic moments.

· I actually like the setting in the first version better, but unfortunately it didn't pass review.

· [Highlight] The protagonist is firmly on the Red side and will not switch sides. The secret identities' past actions are automatically added to their backstories and have nothing to do with ImaGawa Jiachi himself. Also, even when ImaGawa Jiachi is using the secret identities, he won't kill people or set fires or anything like that. See the main story for details.

· Updates whenever I can, with no guarantee that I won't abandon the story. You can ask for updates, but I may not write them (looking away...).

· Rei Furuya will get a bit of a luck boost, because ImaGawa Jiachi did a few things.

· ImaGawa Jiachi starts the story already in a secret identity, while his real self's whereabouts are unknown. So he may have another main plotline about finding his real self (?)

The author is a doting parent and a fan of sweet endings. I can't write angst, so don't worry.
