At first, all of Heaven and Hell knew that Asmodeus, one of the Seven Princes, had a first love with blue eyes, pure and innocent.
So blue eyeballs became all the rage in his circle of Hell. Blue-eyed thousand-eyed monsters became an endangered species, and even gargoyles painted their stone eyes blue.
Asmodeus also received special treatment from Heaven: they assigned him a blue-eyed angel.
The blue-eyed angel who went undercover in the human world and stayed by his side was the same blue-eyed angel who retrieved the Seven Deadly Sins and tore out his heart, the same blue-eyed angel who sat across from him during negotiations, and the same blue-eyed angel who died with him in the final battle.
He thought that once he was dead, he wouldn't have to work for the Abyss anymore. But because he had died too early, he slipped through the cracks of the Final Judgment and came back to life in a remote fishing village. When he turned around, there was, of course, another blue-eyed angel.
The angel said they had to find the Altar of Time and return to the Final Judgment so they could die again, this time in a different pose. Asmodeus just wanted to go back several thousand years and beat up his drunken self for letting his first love slip.
But why did nobody tell me that this blue-eyed angel was my first love?!
