Memory after memory surfaced before my eyes, like a movie I'd watched over and over again. I knew how it would end, yet I couldn't bring myself to leave. I couldn't shut off the floodgate of memories, letting the past crash over me as I was washed clean again and again, until my eyes could no longer hold back the waves of tears. The conflict within me erupted once more, splitting me in two as I argued with myself over whether I should forget those beautiful or painful memories. So tiring, so loud. I don't want to forget. If even I don't remember the past, who can prove it happened? So I picked up my pen, trying once again to write about her.
