Zhou Zhou played a game called Star-Making Project.
At the start of the game, a handsome, tall young man knelt upright in the pouring rain, muddy and utterly wretched, yet his long, beautiful eyes held a cold glint.
Zhou Zhou fell for him at first sight and jumped right in.
It was just a matter of spending money! He was rich and clueless, and loved splashing cash on his little star!
He poured money into rankings, released songs, and invested in roles that made his little star the lead!
He took that muddy little boy and turned him into a dazzling superstar adored by millions.
Watching his little star shine at the center of the stage, Zhou Zhou contentedly took a sip of tea.
He opened the little stray dog's profile picture he'd set for him and sent a message: "Goodbye."
Then Zhou Zhou quit the game and never logged in again.

After an unexpected turn of events, Zhou Zhou returned to the country in a sorry state.
Forced to bow to life's demands, he entered the entertainment industry on the strength of his looks.
His first role was a pretty face with nothing else to offer.
The film was tailor-made for the male lead, Xie Buye, a three-time Best Actor who was finally making a new film after retiring for two years!
His fans were eagerly waiting, and the entire production crew was on high alert.
When Zhou Zhou met Xie Buye for the first time, the actor gave him a casual once-over.
"They let investors stuff people into my productions now?"
Zhou Zhou was ridiculously good-looking, had no acting skills, and looked exactly like a kept pet. He was furious, but didn't dare say a word.
He angrily opened the production's group chat, planning to find Xie Buye's profile picture and curse him out in private.
But he saw that the superstar's profile picture was a little stray dog.
Zhou Zhou: ? Why does this ugly little picture look familiar?

Superstar Xie Buye had a secret: he actually had a sugar daddy, but couldn't see or touch him.
He had always been deeply ashamed of it and refused to accept his benefactor's handouts.
One day, the invisible hand disappeared, and only then did he suddenly realize that a piece of his heart was missing.
Two years later, he met a pretty face on set. The pretty face tapped at his phone a couple of times.
Xie Buye realized that at last, someone had gently patted his head again.
