Karasuma Aotake is the son of Karasuma Renya, boss of the Black Organization. At twenty, he vanished after getting caught up in a mysterious incident. No one knew what he had gone through, and he wasn't seen again until eighty years later.
A centenarian listed as "deceased" returns to his hometown looking just as he did in his youth. This new era leaves him dazzled, much like the silver key he brought back from his wondrous journey.
He gazes up at the deep night sky. The brilliant stars are moving toward their destined positions, but they have been stalled for a long time.
"Maybe there's still a chance..." he murmurs. "Before the stars fall into place and that terrifying, magnificent being awakens, perhaps we still have time to do something..."
Anyway, first things first: he should return to his old line of work and open a bar.
That's what Karasuma Aotake thinks.
But he never expected that the location he picked on a whim would be right across from the Mouri Detective Agency and Poirot Café! I'm sweating bullets here, old man Karasuma!
Even more terrifying, everyone applying for a job at the bar is dead. What's going on? Did they finish their stint on the Detective Conan set, collect their death flags, and stop by our cosmic-horror set to get a job?
Police Academy crew (trying not to laugh): Yeah, exactly.
Fake liquor (looking away): That's right. Loyal subordinates follow you through life and death.
Watered-down genuine liquor (staring blankly): Yes, you may not know this, but it's one of our distillery's signature traditions.
Note:
I want to write about the protagonist running a KPC bar in the Detective Conan world, so the bar menu will feature lots of weird cosmic-horror stuff, the kind that makes Black eaters roll for sanity.
The protagonist's character sheet is ready: an investigator with zero sanity.
The phrase "stalled for a long time" in the blurb refers to Conan being in first grade for twenty years. There are some original settings.
