The Rugged Tycoon's Little Chef [Gourmet]

[Big size difference + age gap + rugged man and sweet girl + food + raising a child + everyday life + business]

Lu Yao transmigrates into a cannon-fodder supporting female character in a book, who shares her name.

A fire takes her entire family, leaving her with only a four-year-old nephew and an injured voice.

Luckily, the original owner's fiance is in the Northeast. He's not only fabulously wealthy, but has also offered to marry her.

She thinks she'll be able to take her nephew with her and live the good life, with plenty to eat and drink. But when she reaches Harbin, she discovers she's been deceived...

He's no wealthy young man from the Northeast. He's a deadbeat who refuses to repay his debts, and he brought her here to hand her over to his creditor as payment.

That day, Lu Yao uses the little money she has left to buy two chicken legs to nourish her nephew. Just as she brings the pot out, the door is kicked open.

A strongly built man grips an iron bar in his hand, his cold, cruel gaze fixed on her. "Where's that bastard Shen? He owes me two legs. What's he gonna do about it?"

Faced with the creditor coming to collect, Lu Yao shakily lifts the bowl of chicken steamed with vinegar and gestures with her hands. "C-chicken legs, would these do..."

Liao Yanchuan's name sounds refined and scholarly, like an honest man.

In reality, he's unruly and burly. They say that when he was young, he could beat a tiger to death with his bare hands.

A few years ago, he kindly lent money to an old classmate for a business venture. Not only did he lose every penny, but the man ran off, too.

That day, he heard his old classmate's family had arrived, so he grabbed a weapon and went to collect the debt.

As soon as he stepped inside, he saw a beautiful, fair-skinned woman with a graceful figure, her bright eyes brimming with tears as she gazed at him.

Taking the two "legs" the mute woman offers him, Liao Yanchuan's Adam's apple bobs. "Your man owes me money. How are you planning to pay it back?"

A new little restaurant has opened in the urban village.

They say the owner is mute and opened the restaurant to make money to repay a debt. Fortunately, she's a wonderful cook. Though the storefront is small, there's a long line outside every day.

Crispy pork hock, rich but not greasy; spicy rabbit with fragrant chili oil; handmade fish balls so fresh they'll make your eyebrows fall off...

A year later, the urban village is demolished and redeveloped. The customers keep wondering if she'll return to her hometown in the south.

Later, they hear that she married one of the village's big demolition compensation winners. His surname seems to be Liao.
