[Blind, honey-sweet, unhinged princess X sickly beauty, vicious heir]
Synopsis:
Princess Sui Nian of Qinhe has bright, almond-shaped eyes and rosy cheeks. She is renowned as the most beautiful woman in the capital, but she is blind in both eyes and intellectually impaired, a little fool.
Everyone in Yanjing lusts after her beauty, while mocking her for being fit only to live as a nobleman's caged songbird.
Nian Sui, heir to the Mingxuan Prince's estate, has a face as handsome as carved jade and a mind bordering on the supernatural. But his legs are crippled, and he's plagued by illness. He's a sickly young man with little time left to live.
Everyone in Yanjing praises his exceptional looks and talent, while mocking him for being inferior even to an ordinary man. Any girl who marries him, they say, will be cursed with terrible luck.
Yet one day, the imperial astrologer studies the heavens and discovers two moons in the night sky, or perhaps... one moon has given rise to its own shadow.
So, while everyone in the capital sleeps soundly, Princess Sui Nian of Qinhe and Nian Sui, heir to the Mingxuan Prince's estate, switch bodies, turning their world upside down.
To keep their body swap a secret, they pretend to marry after signing a contract.
And so the capital has something new to laugh about.
Look, the little fool and the sickly young man got married! They're a perfect match, a union made in heaven! Go ruin each other's lives!
In reality:
Sui Nian: You shameless liar! You could knock down eight hundred people with a single finger!
Nian Sui: You're no fool either. You secretly laid out an entire plan, maneuvering everyone like pieces on a chessboard.
Sui Nian: Y-You hypocrite! You kill without batting an eye!
Nian Sui: You're malicious, devious, and heartless.
Sui Nian: You...
Nian Sui: But I like you.
Sui Nian: I...
Nian Sui: You needn't lift your eyes to stir up the dust,
Just lower them to spare me a glance.
That would be enough for me in this life.
Theme: Though surrounded by darkness, the heart turns toward the light.
