Three years after her mother died, Qiao Wei decided to return to her hometown grasslands to spend her final days.

She drifted through life, with a faint sense of death hanging over her. Who could have guessed she would meet a man?

The orange-red afterglow descended on the gray-yellow grassland, blazing across more than ten miles of land as it swept everything in its path. The man had broad shoulders, long legs, and a tall, straight figure. He held a long-lens DSLR in his right hand, as if walking into the fire. He was as beautiful as a painting.

After one reckless night, Qiao Wei got what she wanted.

The man had excellent manners. Holding her close, he asked tenderly where she was going next and offered to accompany her. But she briskly pushed away his arm, its veins standing out around her waist, lifted her skirt, and smiled as if eager to get away:

"Mr. Liang, we won't meet again."

Qiao Wei truly thought she would never see Liang Zhongshan again.

Until she drove across the northern grasslands of Xing'an League, accidentally entered a documentary shoot, and was chased by wolves.

At the critical moment, someone holding a torch rescued her from above. His familiar features were cold and aloof, no gentler than the wolves' eyes.

Qiao Wei and Liang Zhongshan were both stunned.

One of his companions asked, "Director Liang, do you know her?"

Liang Zhongshan carried filming equipment on his back and held a torch. The grassland wind and snow had cracked his lips and the backs of his hands until they bled. He stared at her coldly. "Never seen her before."

But from Chicheng to Arxan, from one grassland to another,

Liang Zhongshan still fell for her.

That night, after she escaped the wolves, she fell asleep with a high fever. The production manager and producer urged him to send her away so she wouldn't delay filming. Liang Zhongshan clenched a cigarette between his teeth and refused in a low, restrained voice:

"There's no need. She's mine."

"I thought she came here to find me."
