Someone was kneeling beside the bed, their exposed skin covered in whip marks. He had become a male insect named Galadeya Leon. Web-novel enthusiast Wendell: I know this one. It’s an insectoid society. Going by the usual tropes, he must have transmigrated into the body of a terrible male lead who mistreated his female insect partner. His role would be to heal her, then have a one-on-one romance that shattered the insect world’s values. But as things unfolded, Wendell’s dreams of a healing, devoted romance fell apart. The male insect he had become was a notorious abuser in the Turio Empire. The cemetery under his name was full of the bones of female insects. Wendell: ...I’m done for. Faced with the second prince, Cayos, who stubbornly insists on pursuing him, Wendell resolves not to let the female insect sink any deeper into this mess. He rejects him as a male insect, then invents an androgynous-insect identity using his own real name. He repeatedly tells Cayos how awful Galadeya is, trying to scare him off from both directions. But he takes the act too far. Before he can break off the engagement, Wendell, in his male insect identity as “Galadeya,” is pinned hard to the ground by the female insect. A sharp insect wing is about to slice off his head. Wendell: ? Cayos tells him expressionlessly that he is doing this so his beloved androgynous insect will never again suffer inhuman abuse. And the female insect he loves is, Wendell. Wendell himself: ...Wait, what? You’re going to kill me for my sake??? Cayos is an illegitimate prince of the empire, a decorated war hero who was severely injured while covering for his subordinates on the battlefield. He is blind, his wings are damaged, and he needs a male insect’s pheromones to keep him alive. His male insect brother believes Cayos has become too powerful, so he uses the disgrace brought upon the royal family as an excuse to hand Cayos over to Galadeya, the most infamous male insect in the insect world, to become his “female lord.” Cayos has always followed the rules and placed male insects above all else. Without hesitation, he obeys the order to pursue Galadeya, even though he knows Galadeya could abuse him to death. But while pursuing Galadeya, he meets Wendell, an ordinary androgynous insect living on Galadeya’s estate. Wendell treats him with such tenderness that Cayos’s dead heart gradually comes back to life. He becomes obsessed with keeping Wendell by his side and making him his own. Even if Wendell is an androgynous insect. But on the day Cayos regains his sight, he clearly sees Wendell’s smooth nape, a feature only male insects have, and his handsome, dashing face. Galadeya’s female servant calls him “Male Lord.” Recommended completed novel: My Cannon-Fodder Boyfriend Is a Master of Green Tea One-sentence summary: After two brothers transmigrate into a book, they turn a tragic romance plot into a family comedy full of ridiculous fake love triangles.
