Secret Crush

*My superstar, my youth had you in it, and I have not a single regret. When the spotlights come on, I will return you to the sea of stars.*

Meng Zhixing is a coward. She has had a crush on Jiang Jingzhou for ten years.

The only times this coward has ever been brave were three moments in her life.

The first was when she fought to keep sitting next to Jiang Jingzhou.

The second was when she cleared Jiang Jingzhou's name after he was falsely accused.

The third was when she spent a fortune on a ticket to Jiang Jingzhou's concert.

For the first stop on his fifth-anniversary tour, Jiang Jingzhou chose Yungang, an obscure third-tier city. Meng Zhixing went to great lengths to get a balcony ticket, planning to bring her ten-year unrequited love to an end. But just before setting off, she lost her nerve.

Later, these words were faintly written in a magazine with Jiang Jingzhou's photo on the cover:

"Jiang Jingzhou, may you shine brilliantly in the sea of stars. And I will send you endless blessings from the deep blue sea."

Short story. BE.

The main story unfolds in an interwoven timeline, moving between ten years ago and ten years later.
