Gotham is a rotten city. Brian hates it, yet has put down roots here and loves it. Of course, he means the city, not some stinking lump of mud.
Faced with every hero who wants to pull Gotham back from the brink, Glan is pessimistic. When the mistake is its very existence, is there any point in correcting it?
In short:
A story about a copy of a main universe from outside the main universe. Due to the interference of certain unspeakable entities, Gotham develops a consciousness. He wants to take Bruce's place as Batman and disrupt the timeline, gradually causing the copy universe to collapse and putting an end to this meaningless world. But a "person" stops him.
Warnings: 1. Heavy Lovecraftian elements and significant timeline differences. Please consider this separate from the original work.
2. Bruce's parents are alive.
3. Gotham is personified. Please distinguish this from the official canon, because the differences are substantial.
4. The characters will definitely differ from their original personalities because their life experiences are different. I'll try to avoid OOC characterization, but some unavoidable differences will remain.
5. There will be two Batmen in Gotham: Glan, who walks on the dark side, and Bruce, who walks among ordinary people.
6. Some villains' endings have been changed. If you don't like that, please leave.
7. Many original characters appear, and many plotlines and stories have been rewritten.
8. The protagonist is mentally unstable, and so are all his friends.
9. The protagonist's values are not the author's.
10. This story has two male leads and two couples; feel free to ship them casually. Don't force pairings, don't try to teach the author how to write, and don't deny the pure friendship between men.
Theme: Keep striving, and take your fate into your own hands.
Hmm... Eight-year-old Bruce and future Bruce have their souls swapped?
This blocking word really makes people laugh and cry (face covering). It completely overturns the previous story line. I am looking forward to what will happen next! Come on!
