That night, she got her hands on a novel that was popular around the world. After hurriedly reading half of it, she slammed the table and raged:
"Why do women make life difficult for other women? Why did the author make the second female lead so miserable and worthless? It was bad enough that the male lead abandoned her, but they even made her disappear. Where's the justice in that?"
"The author's an idiot. If you want the second female lead to be cannon fodder, why make her humiliate herself like that? Die for a scumbag? Give me a break!"
"You made Bai Chu die so young, and what even is Rong Jing? Why make the eldest brother, Rong Xuan, a mere foil for him?"
So immersed in the story was she that she actually transmigrated into the book as its cannon-fodder second female lead!
According to the story, she was supposed to die that very night to prove her resolve, leaving tens of thousands of people in Dangcheng to sigh over her tragic fate. Then she would vanish like fireworks carried away by the wind, leaving the Bai family heartbroken without even making a ripple.
"Damn it, a life like that is such a waste. Why should I put up with it?"
Bai Chu didn't want to die.
To rewrite her fate, she immediately decided to marry the Rong family's eldest son, a cannon-fodder male supporting character like herself. The young master was critically ill and on the brink of death. His stepmother was busy ordering him an expensive coffin, while his aunt waited to divide up his assets.
Bai Chu charged into the estate, threw herself at the old master's legs, and wailed without stopping until she got her way:
"I want to marry the eldest young master! The Rong family can't just act dishonorably. The second young master dumped me to marry someone else. You owe the Bai family some compensation, so let me marry the eldest young master! He's always been my ideal husband. I want to marry him right now, tonight!"
Everyone in the Rong household thought Bai Chu had gone mad from the shock.
Stepmother: "The eldest young master is about to die. If you marry him, you'll be a widow. Why put yourself through that?"
Aunt: "Your marriage to the second young master fell through, so now you're clinging to the eldest. Are you after the Rong family's fortune?"
Second young master: "Are you taking revenge on me by going after my big brother?"
That night, she wore red with her hair pinned up, while he lay ill on a high bed. She supported him, speaking with tender affection. He gazed at her as though he would remember her forever. "Be careful on the road. We have plenty of time ahead, so we both need to be careful not to ruin our reputations." Rong Xuan's words held a hidden meaning, and his gaze was deep.
From then on, the cannon-fodder woman and man rewrote their story. As a married couple, they outwitted one another and thrived in the Rong household.
The heroine, Bai Chu, transmigrated into a book. She's domineering and clever, turns the tables against all odds, and loves herself. Because the eldest young master loves her, she loves him too.
The hero, the eldest young master, transmigrated from another world. He's wealthy and talented, and he knew she was the one from the moment they met. He understands her joys and sorrows, and shares her pain.
Their love is beautiful. She admires his flawlessness, and he cherishes her beneath the warm breeze and pale moonlight.
[Coming soon: The Wang Family Courtyard in the 1970s]
Reborn at the age of seventeen, Xi Yuyang returned home for vacation just as her mother was about to give birth.
Her mother had already given birth to four girls and two boys. This would be her third child.
"Mother, Mother, Mother, I'm here to save you!"
Xi Yuyang used the only Golden Core she had in her life on her mother, feeding it to her.
Theme: Seize every opportunity.
What is your background? It's the same era, you're at the young master's house, and you're sending messages on your mobile phone. It's a bit confusing.
I didn't feel that it was enjoyable enough to watch. The protagonist was suppressed by the supporting characters. Just looking at the writing, I felt that it was an enjoyable novel.
What era is this book in? Sometimes it's a house, and sometimes it's a rental. It feels like it's constantly being pulled between modern times and ancient times.
"Qing" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ Is this Rong Jing?
Why is the heroine's title to the hero so confusing?
No one forced the heroine to have a plot. Why did she think she was going to die?
