Here's the deal: I'm a miserable corporate drone who dropped out of school years ago. I'm twenty-six, with a high school education I never finished. I'm great at my job, but every day I'm at war with the useless higher-ups. I'm constantly overwhelmed, staying up all night like a cultivator, and surviving on coffee.
Watching clumps of hair fall out, all I can do is chug nutritional supplements and watch my youth rush by. It breaks my heart.
Entering the workforce so young meant taking more than my share of beatings. Looking back now, I could cry. I swore to myself:
If I could go back, I'd rather die than take this god-awful job.
Time may not run backward, and a corporate drone is still a corporate drone, but thanks to my outstanding performance over the years, my boss helped me return to school...
And turn from a problem student into a problem teacher.
Thanks for asking. The new workplace has lovely scenery and adorable kids, though the city itself is a little unsafe.
But those people in black, you really don't have to try so hard to recruit me. Seriously.
I'm Fujimaru Ritsuka, just a chosen wage slave for humanity who was once on the United Nations' most wanted list.
