Tragedy.
BE. Short story.
Don't read this when you're in a bad mood.
And definitely don't read it when you're in a good mood.
Blurb:
When Zhao Chen was fifteen, he picked up five-year-old Fang Nan. One was a cold, handsome loner whose parents had both died; the other was a soft, helpless little boy who had gotten lost.
He had a piece of candy, honeydew melon flavored.
Later, Fang Nan only liked that flavor.
Zhao Chen brought Fang Nan home, made him kneel on a cushion, and had him call the two memorial portraits "Mom" and "Dad."
From then on, Fang Nan had an older brother.
Later, disaster struck, and Zhao Chen was gone.
The words carved into the gravestone spoke of an absurd tragedy.
[Zhao Chen was guilty in this life. He loved only Fang Nan, and received this cruel punishment. With a heart full of anguish, he prays for only two things: first, that in the next life they meet again before it's too late to make amends; second, that Fang Nan lives a joyful and peaceful life.
- His brother, Zhao Chen]
Later...
At five in the morning on Saturday, Patient Fang Nan, Bed 65, was pronounced dead of a heart attack.
Only a note remained:
[I'm sorry. Fang Nan, don't meet your big brother in your next life.]
But the child would never grow up. Zhao Chen would simply remain Zhao Chen.
The bottom is quite weak.
The top isn't much better.
The author's writing is pretty bad, so read at your own risk.
