Synopsis
(Bottom)
It is said that the Saint of Medicine, Xie Qichuan, is a master of medicine and poison, and even has some knowledge of formations, talismans, and swordsmanship. After his master ascended, he inherited the title of Saint of Medicine. He had always wanted to take on a disciple, but never actually did, saying the time had not come and fate had not yet brought them together.
One time, after descending the mountain, he saved someone at an auction. They said that person was a discarded child of the dragons, whose blood could be used as medicine. A single drop could bring someone back from the dead, while their flesh was even more precious: one piece could help a cultivator leap several realms.
Xie Qichuan had only come to bid on an herb. He never expected to come across this person, so he said, "We are fated to meet." Then he brought them back and took them in as his direct disciple.
The people in the sect were amazed to see the Saint of Medicine descend the mountain and take on a disciple. They all wanted to gossip about it, but he said, "What is fate? This is fate. I asked an acquaintance to tell my fortune, and she said today is an auspicious day to take on a disciple, so let's hold the apprenticeship ceremony today..."
"Master, rest assured. Your disciple will teach him medicine and poison properly. After I ascend, he will be the new Saint of Medicine. He will surely do even better than I have, and will be more than capable of shouldering this great responsibility."
Every day, Xie Qichuan taught the other person medicine, poison, and alchemy, occasionally teaching him swordsmanship as well. If he did poorly, he would be punished. Although Xie Qichuan felt he might be a little too strict, as the saying goes, a strict teacher produces outstanding students. Otherwise, how would his disciple heal the sick, save lives, and protect the people?
As time went by, he noticed that whenever he taught his disciple, the boy kept looking at him.
?
When he practiced alchemy, his disciple kept looking at him.
?
When he practiced swordsmanship, his disciple kept looking at him.
?
Later, he thought he had figured it out. His disciple must be staring at him because he thought his lessons were too few. Determined to become the best master in the world, he decided to give his disciple even more homework...
The top's perspective
Duan Heng was a discarded child of the dragons, with dragon blood. Everyone wanted to drink his blood and eat his flesh, so he was sure the person before him was no different. The title of Saint of Medicine was nothing but an act of hypocritical benevolence.
After he was taken in as the other man's direct disciple, he discovered that this cheap master, who was always talking about fate, treated him extremely well. Though his master sometimes punished him for failing to finish his lessons, those punishments were nothing to him.
As time passed, he realized that whenever he was injured, his master would give him a top-grade pill he had refined. Whenever someone bullied him, his master would be the first to jump in and curse them out. And whenever he ventured into a secret realm, his master would secretly follow, afraid something might happen to him.
Everyone said he had a good master, one they could only envy.
His master only wanted him to learn all his skills so he could heal the sick, save lives, and benefit the people. But as he gradually awakened his ancient dragon bloodline, he discovered that he was developing increasingly improper feelings for his master. Even if it meant earning a notorious reputation, he wanted his master to become his cultivation partner.
Bottom, happy ending, sweet romance, one-on-one
1. The top and bottom in this story are both pure and devoted to each other.
2. I will do my best to finish the story.
3. Updates are irregular, entirely dependent on this silly author's mood.
4. The writing may be a little immature. Please forgive me.
