Polite but depraved, wicked warden x female prisoner pretending to be a meek little rabbit, secretly a deranged psychopath
I)
Five years after Jiang Tu was convicted of involuntary manslaughter, a new warden took office. He was only thirty, already held a powerful position, and was said to be a refined legal genius.
From that day on, the Imperial Women's Prison went mad. The prisoners vied for a chance to see him, but Jiang Tu was unmoved. She had no interest in geniuses.
Until one day, while she was out in the yard, she saw the impeccably uniformed man stop a guard who was shouting at a prisoner and personally help the prisoner up after she'd bumped into him. His warm, springlike smile was the only color in the pale prison.
Jiang Tu heard her blood rushing. It was the buzz of recognizing one of her own kind.
II)
The greatest pleasure in Fu Jing's life lately was observing prisoner number 8396.
She had a tragic past and was gentle and kind, a beloved mascot everyone praised. Yet Fu Jing's sixth sense told him that this meek little white rabbit might not be what she seemed.
Later, he privately investigated her case, ruled out the many misleading clues, and found that every sign pointed to one answer: her killing had not been involuntary...
III)
One stormy night, after several rounds of sparring and maneuvering.
Jiang Tu spat out the knockout drug she'd been holding in her mouth, unzipped the inside of her luggage, and slipped into his room with ease.
As lightning lit up the sky, she pressed a blade to his jaw and smiled with innocent madness.
"There's only a hair's breadth between a genius and a madman, Fu Jing. Which are you, a genius or one of my kind?"
