Synopsis
403 is a blue-eyed, white-furred cat who loves staying home.
One day, its rebellious younger brother ran away from home, dragging it into a rift in time and space and forcing it to wander far from home.
To make matters worse, it was severely contaminated.
Its body transformed into a colossal entity called the Infinite Game.
Its soul was imprisoned deep within the System, used as nourishment.
Only its free will remained, able to move about as it pleased.
After much "painful" deliberation, the home-loving cat decided to lie flat.
What does a little kitty know about infinite-flow games? That sort of thing should be left to brave humans!
Once it had made up its mind, the cat lived a contented, idle life. Each day, it watched livestreams in the System and dug safe houses for the human players.
It firmly believed a brave human would come along, like the knight in a story who slays a dragon, fighting through every obstacle to reach it. Then the human would make the grand wish of destroying the evil System and saving all of humanity.
When that happened, it could bundle up its little belongings and go home without losing a single hair~
It waited and waited, and at last the little kitty met the "knight" on whom it had pinned all its hopes.
He was the most handsome human the cat had ever seen. A sky full of stars slept in his eyes, and even the curve of his clothes looked pure and gentle.
"My wish is..."
The little kitty sat up straight. Even though the other person couldn’t see it, it still wanted to greet the grand finale in the most perfect pose.
"I want to rise above the System and become the sole ruler of this 'Paradise.'"
"Can you make this wish come true for me?"
The cat crashed
Its face turned into the exact expression of an old subway cat staring at a phone: \ _ /
The furious, trembling cat just wanted to lift its pink paw and give him a huge smack.
How could a human be so awful?
But once a wish was made, it was protected and recognized by the rules. Even the cat couldn’t predict the extremely twisted form in which it might come true.
How could a human body compare with a god? Even though it was embarrassed to admit it, the cat had to acknowledge that this human had the makings of a god. A truly gruesome fate awaited him.
The cat steeled itself and resolved not to help the human again. But when he was about to disappear, without even a scrap left behind, it still couldn’t stop itself from reaching out with a paw...
What answered it was a hand with distinct knuckles.
It pulled the cat down with it into the abyss
When the cat landed on all fours again, it found itself standing on a lush green lawn.
"Number 000? Player entering the game."
"Maximum capacity reached. Instance beginning soon, "
The little kitty stared with its round blue eyes, dazed.
But soon it raised its great tail and happily dashed toward the instance~
What do humans know about infinite-flow games? When it really matters, the little kitty is the one to count on!
Just wait until it flips this place upside down and takes everyone home~~
The following is a little info board:
The CP is the human who appears in the blurb. A refined scumbag on the surface, with a hidden, submissive, clingy personality.
Because of his many acts of "suicidal stupidity," the cat’s affection for him has dropped to zero. He’ll have to win it back.
The split parts can be understood this way:
Body -> Contains most of the cat’s power and contamination, has fallen into evil, and has no self-awareness or emotions. It operates like a program, with absolute rationality.
Soul -> A cold, fragile, beautiful human with cat ears. To preserve its sense of self and resist contamination, it spends 98% of its time asleep in a sealed-off state.
Will -> The cat’s entire self, including its untamed nature that it normally keeps hidden. This is the most honest part of it.
Although there are split-self elements, they have little effect on the reading experience. To the cat, its contaminated body is like a cat’s testicles removed during neutering: they may look like they have feelings, but they’re no longer any use.
In the cat’s eyes, the soul is its true self. When it’s awake, its mind automatically connects to the past. When it’s asleep, this has no effect on the cat at all. It remains itself. There won’t be any personality differences caused by the split parts.
Theme: It is better to rely on yourself than on others.
