[The Ultimate Three Kingdoms] A Summer That's Not Too Hot

I wanted to read Zhang Fei fanfiction, but there was hardly any, so I had to write my own.

Zhang Fei is childish and reckless, but also loyal and straightforward. I think someone like him deserves a clever, wise, mature, and tolerant person.

Xia Liang thought Zhang Fei would be the only friend she'd ever have. She went to the Eastern Han only because she didn't want that blockhead to get cheated. She never expected to make friends there. After going through so much with Zhang Fei, she gradually realized he was special to her. But Zhang Fei was a dense block of wood!

Xia Liang had been frail since childhood, and her family kept a tight rein on her. She didn't mind, since it saved her a lot of trouble. Because of her health, she couldn't do strenuous exercise, and she always sat alone in the classroom reading. Maybe she was an odd one out among her peers, who loved running around and roughhousing. Xia Liang had no friends until her family moved to Jizhou and Zhang Fei entered her life. He became her first friend. Xia Liang grew used to having Zhang Fei around. He was so foolish; what would he do if she weren't there one day...?

??? Zhang Fei had a dream ever since he was little: to become a great hero who upheld justice. Recently, a family moved into the villa next door. His parents, believing that a good neighbor was better than a distant relative, took him along to pay them a visit. That was the first time he met Xia Liang. She was a tiny, skinny girl standing in front of him. Though her expression was distant and cold, she looked so frail. He was going to be a great hero, so of course he had to protect the weak. From then on, whenever Zhang Fei got home, he ran straight to the Xia family's house to stay by her side. That way, if anything happened to Xia Liang, he could help her right away. She was so frail; what would she do without him...???

This is the 2009 version of Three Kingdoms. I won't break up any couples; I just want to write Zhang Fei a love interest.

P.S. There may be some OOC, but I just want to write a side of Zhang Fei that other people don't know about, his other side.
