The Strange Laws of All Things

When Xuan Ye was a child, he had his fortune told.

He had few family ties, dug wells that yielded no water, and was destined for a life of decay and unfulfilled potential.

When fortune turns against you, misfortune piles upon misfortune.

People have to accept their fate.

So, as a little blind boy, after the world was polluted by countless rules, he trusted no one but himself.

In this world full of strange rules, he would create another perfect version of himself to protect him.

Rule One: Be loyal to me without question.

So the other Xuan Ye decided: Xuan Ye is my rule, my god, everything I desire.

※ The Shuowen says: "A mountain rises up and releases its energy, bringing forth all things. It is high, with rocks upon it."
