A low-key singer takes the stage at his alma mater's gala, all so Shi Ying, somewhere in the crowd, can see him.
She greets him politely and formally. "Senior Lin Yu, long time no see."
He seems unruffled on the surface, but beneath it, his patience is surging. He has waited a very, very long time to hear her call him senior.
