A Short Spring Day [GB]

=

Yun Qiao and Chen Chu are married by agreement.

They support each other and keep their distance. Yun Qiao does it perfectly, but Chen Chu longs to take things further.

His wife is gentle by nature, keeping everyone at a comfortable distance.

Chen Chu feels both frustrated and relieved, until he sees an old photograph.

A young woman laughs joyfully, pinching the cheek of the young man beside her, while he makes no attempt to dodge.

Chen Chu lowers his eyes and stares at it for a long time. The feelings surging inside him die in a corner where no one cares to look.

So she had been passionately in love once.

Too bad he could never be the other lead in that story.

Chen Chu doesn't notice the pencil writing on the back, its strokes hurried and careless.

"Nothing special."

"When she smiles, she's gentle, her bright eyes fixed on you as if you were her whole world."

"But she doesn't look at you that way alone. She looks at others that way, too. In short, all beings are equal, and no one is special."

Yun Qiao x Chen Chu

Gentle on the outside, cold within, fairy-like beauty x Awkward straight man who overthinks everything

Please note:

1. The female lead is not a virgin; the male lead is. The relationship is female-dominant, and the ending is tragic.

2. There are chapters from the male lead's perspective. Their feelings are unequal, and his love goes unrequited.

3. The second male lead is the female lead's ex, a loyal puppy. The extras tell their story.

4. This story is all about putting the male lead through the wringer. The female lead loves no one. Once it's over, it's over. She never looks back.

Theme: Nothing in this world can be perfect.
