Shi Su pushed up his glasses, peering over the handbook with half his face showing. “You learn fast.”
Li Chao’s handbook was covered in tightly packed notes.
He lifted his head, revealing bright white canine teeth. “I had a good teacher.”

Two years later, the hotel curtains were still tightly drawn.
Shi Su rested his arms on the edge of the bathtub and smacked the handbook against that flushed face. Then he smiled lazily.
“What’s the matter? Didn’t I teach you this already?”
