The Fantastic Adventures of Yan Xiaoqi [Infinite]

Reusing more than 25 consecutive characters from another original work's detailed outline, context, or original blurb is considered a general violation and constitutes plagiarism.

When I first started this story, I hadn't thought that far ahead. Some parts need revision, but the outline, detailed outline, and setting won't change. For example, this is a female-lead story with no romance. The female lead isn't particularly hot-blooded, and there isn't much protagonist suffering either.

The protagonist, Yan Xiaoqi, is introduced at age nineteen. (In another original book, the story begins three years after college graduation, when the protagonist has worked for two years and then quit to start a business. There is no crossover at present.) She hasn't graduated from college yet.

The main setting is a prequel-era point in Kamen Rider Saber. In this world, the White God, Black God, and Orange God existed in the past. In the future are the all-knowing, all-powerful fantasy novelist, the wish-granting fox god, and Ohma Zi-O. At the source of time, there are even more unspeakable beings.

Leaving the main world marks the first step into the infinite-flow genre. The first stop is the seven-part world of Shrouding the Heavens, Ruins of the Sacred, and Perfect World. The entry point is Mount Tai, a place that appears extremely often and is rich in mythological associations. In the Shrouding the Heavens setting, the current point doesn't progress along a timeline, but through different story states.

The entry state is one where Emperor Huang Tian is camping the fountain, and Emperor Ye has just appeared.

Yan Xiaoqi starts off at the bottom and has little influence over the greater metaphysical forces. But as she comes to occupy the position that was hers all along, she will eventually become one of those forces.

Additional characters:

Qing Ni: The only god in a certain setting, and the protagonist of another author's book. In that author's setting, this character eventually becomes the only god, surpassing the main System.

Qi Tengyi: The only transcendent being in the infinite multiverse in a certain state.

Lin Yang: The oldest being, active in several different settings. The Oldest Being is from a certain King Kong-like world setting.

Yuri: Kamen Rider Saikou, wielding both the light sword Saikou and the dark sword Kurayami. In the original work, he appears after the TV series begins. In this story, his body is in Avalon, while his will, through Saikou's and Yan Xiaoqi's actions, echoes across the Shrouding the Heavens setting.

Liu Qun: One of Yan Xiaoqi's roommates. Before his introduction, he'd inherited a cultivation tradition that had lasted for several thousand years, but the main world suppresses all magic, so he has never established his Dao foundation.

Xia Feng: One of Yan Xiaoqi's roommates and the mood-maker. He's designed as a child-friendly character, an ordinary passerby said to have read everything from ancient to modern times and to know absolutely everything. (According to the setting, he's read Shrouding the Heavens, Perfect World, Ruins of the Sacred, and numerous side stories and derivative works, so he can practically be called omniscient about the plot and setting.)

Ye Fan, Liu Yiyi, Pang Bo: Original characters from Shrouding the Heavens.

Su Rong, Wang Yongqing, Liu Qun, Chen Wenting: Some of Yan Xiaoqi's classmates. They come from the same world and timeline as her.

A certain generation's Ji Zi, Buddha Child, and Dao Child: They were once quasi-emperors from the Ji family of Beidou, the Western Desert, and the Flying Immortal Star, home of the ancient Kunlun survivors. They fell while fighting the Dark Age. For reasons that cannot be spoken of, they reincarnate at the current time in the current timeline of Shrouding the Heavens, and recover their memories from their previous lives.

Mo Yanqing, Wen Jianyan, Lin Jin: They come from different timelines in the same world as Yan Xiaoqi. According to the setting, they belong to a team under a certain Lord God.

Abu: Wields the Siren Legend Wonder Ride Book and the Nameless Sword Void. He comes from a different timeline in the same world as Yan Xiaoqi and is her Dao rival.

Shi Yue: An anchor prepared for Yan Xiaoqi by an ultimate being from her main world. She is the protagonist of A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: Shi Yue.

Sun Baiming, Zhou Lingli, Li Yangrui, Li Yangxue, Huang Enhong, Ma Zhiwei: Yan Xiaoqi's classmates.

Meng Yajun, Liao Cui, Lu Xinyi, Ru Wenhan: Female classmates of Yan Xiaoqi.

The plan is for the first major Shrouding the Heavens arc to run for 800,000 characters. After she clears it (at the current point, she is standing with Lin Yang and an unknown being by a small pool beneath a waterfall, fishing), the second major setting will begin.

However, in terms of timeline and progression, the second major setting will be presented as a flashback. Conceptually, it is the first "other world," while Shrouding the Heavens is actually the second "other world."

First world: The Uncanny, Knowledge Is Pollution

Second world: The seven-part Shrouding the Heavens, Perfect World, and Ruins of the Sacred

Third world: Multiverse, Romance Across Time and Space

Fourth world: Multiverse, Only God, Qing Ni

Other than some setting details for the first world and an outline for the second, everything else is still just an empty folder.

Conceptually, this is my first book. Infinite-flow stories can easily resemble other works, especially their source material. If readers notice any violations, feel free to report them, and I'll deal with them as soon as I see them.

The original setting blurb follows:

Yan Xiaoqi was just an ordinary woman born in the 1990s.

She was born in an ordinary small county in XY City, H Province, then raised in a small town nearby, and later in a small village on the neighboring mountain. It wasn't exactly remote, just a little over an hour's walk from town. Still, it wasn't a great place to live. It was only in 1996 that they gradually stopped collecting agricultural taxes. Otherwise, it's hard to say whether Yan Xiaoqi would have made it through elementary school in one piece.

Elementary school was just as unremarkable. She wasn't even one of the top three in her class, never mind the whole town.

By the time she finally reached high school, her strengths started to show after students were divided into arts and sciences. Even then, she wasn't anywhere close to being first in the school, let alone the whole city.

The one thing she could be grateful for was being an only child. When she was young, her mother died for reasons that cannot be spoken of. She and her father depended on each other, but managed to get by.

She finally made it to college. Yan Xiaoqi had always been ordinary, but now she suddenly found herself at the bottom of the university's pecking order. "Is college really this competitive?" Yan Xiaoqi said.

She stumbled through college, failed classes and retook exams, had an unremarkable relationship that ended in a breakup, and graduated in the most ordinary way. Then, at last, she graduated from college and wanted to let loose, only to get caught up in a supernatural incident?

Main world setting: The independent Kamen Rider Saber universe, 2019.
