The Way Home [Downton Abbey Fanfiction]

Patrick was lucky enough to survive the sinking of the Titanic. Unfortunately, he lost his memory, forfeited his claim to the Downton inheritance, and his fiancée Mary had chosen someone else. He thought he would never set foot back home again, but never expected to reunite with Mary.

They say you cannot force love. He and Mary had grown up together, but she never favored him. Meanwhile, lucky Matthew had everything and didn't know how to cherish it.

Well, then, don't blame him for making a move! This time, he swears he'll take back everything that belongs to him! The childhood friend is determined to defeat the newcomer!

The story begins around the end of Season 2, Episode 8, and runs parallel to the Christmas special.

In a nutshell:

He loves her, he hates her, but he can't forget her.

Couple-breaking warning.

[New Story Teaser] Red Chamber: Swallows in the Woods (Daiyu x Yanlin), available for advance collection.

One is a fairy flower from a celestial garden, the other a dashing young swordsman.

A wondrous fate brings them together across time and space.

One has shed all her tears, the other has sheathed his sword.

Their marriage was destined by heaven. Hand in hand, they'll stay together until their hair turns white!

This is a crack pairing story, inspired by a video on Bilibili. I got the urge to write it on a whim. If it's not your cup of tea, please be gentle.

The meaning of the Crimson Pearl Immortal Grass's existence is by no means limited to repaying a debt of gratitude.

And the sincere, pure-hearted Yanlin deserves the best love in the world!

Note: Daiyu is the Daiyu from the novel, but the story begins around Chapter 80. Yanlin is the Yanlin from the second life in the TV series A Dream Within a Dream. He doesn't rebel or kill the emperor, and he's still waiting for his first kiss, haha.

Theme: The childhood friend defeats the newcomer.
