Geto Suguru, a police academy student for who knows how many years now, considers giving up on his dream of becoming a police officer for the first time.
His friends keep looking at the space above his head and letting out snickers they can’t hold back.
“That’s because the words ‘tiny eyes’ and ‘Monkey King’ are floating above his head!” several young men say in unison. “And besides, we’re not laughing at him!”
For some reason, strange words have suddenly appeared above Geto-kun’s head, and the labels don’t fit him at all. How could Geto-kun possibly be a “villain in the making”?
After all, Geto-kun always strives to do everything to the best of his ability. He’s determined to protect the public and maintain social harmony!
Date Wataru: Geto-kun has a will of steel.
Furuya Rei: He must feel the same way I do.
Morofushi Hiromitsu: Geto-kun is obviously a good person.
Matsuda Jinpei: Ah... That Geto and Furuya both look like hot-blooded idiots who think being a police officer is the greatest job in the world.
Hagiwara Kenji: Kenji thinks... that label is pretty interesting.
After coming in just behind this class’s top student, Furuya Rei, Geto Suguru undergoes two years of training and assessment before going undercover in a multinational organization.
“Andre? Doesn’t sound like the name of a liquor.” The long-haired young man’s eyes curve into a smile, his lips blooming like a poppy, beautiful and dangerous.
“...Tch.” Gin adjusts his hat. “There are already more than enough people in the organization. There aren’t any codenames left for you to choose from. Passing the organization’s assessment is impressive enough.”
“Then, Gin, could you give me your codename?”
Geto Suguru fixes his deep gaze on Gin, satisfied when the man opposite him raises his gun.
“Don’t make a habit of it.”
After a long moment, Gin lowers his weapon and speaks coldly.
After all, there aren’t many people like Geto Suguru, who can blow up an entire building with a bomb.
Gin looks at the label above Geto Suguru’s head, [Once killed 112 people in one go], and feels admiration, along with a touch of relief.
Geto Suguru shudders. Why is he looking at me like that... as though he’s been hoping to find a suitable partner for a long time? But if I’ve earned Gin’s trust, then my undercover work should be going well, right?
Thinking this, his smile grows gentler.
Excerpt:
Date Wataru’s gaze drifts involuntarily to the top of Geto Suguru’s head. A few labels are floating above it, and he reaches up to pat Geto’s head, earning a puzzled look from the young man.
“Class rep, is there something on my head?”
Geto Suguru tilts his head and tentatively reaches up to feel around. His fingers find only his smooth hair. He raises an eyebrow and looks at Date Wataru’s hand, but it’s empty too.
“Ah, no. I guess I was seeing things.”
Date Wataru shakes his head, but his eyes are still drawn to the string of labels. He focuses and takes a closer look: [Tiny Eyes], [Monkey King], [Christmas Party], [Villain in the Making], [Pokemon Master]...
W-wait... What is that second label supposed to mean?!
“Pfft...”
The more Date Wataru thinks about it, the funnier it gets. He tries to stop the corners of his mouth from turning up, but only ends up making his expression more grotesque.
“Hey? Class rep, Geto-kun... what are you doing here?”
Morofushi Hiromitsu steps out from behind Date Wataru. When his gaze falls on Geto Suguru, his pupils contract in shock. He hurriedly covers his mouth, but a few snickers still escape, and his trembling shoulders betray how he feels.
“...”
Geto Suguru remains silent as the two of his classmates inexplicably burst out laughing in front of him.
This is the blurb for now.
The premise might change at any time, but Geto the police officer is the one thing that won’t.
