The Dark Lord's Path Begins at Hogwarts [Harry Potter]

◆ Free weekly updates, with the occasional unexpected laugh. You don't need to play Hogwarts Legacy to understand it. ◆

◆ Hogwarts Legacy launched in February 2023. This story opened for advance sign-ups in March and began in April. It was the earliest story on any platform about Grindelwald transmigrating a century into the future and jumping straight into Azkaban. I'm just a slow writer, so don't compare it to stories that started half a year later. ◆

I, Orinis Grindelwald, am a Hufflepuff and a fifth-year transfer student at Hogwarts. For a variety of reasons, I've transmigrated a hundred years into the future.

Luckily, my mentor has used the Philosopher's Stone and is still full of life at six hundred years old. They also caught me up on everything that's changed over the past century: Hogwarts abolished the Dueling Club and shut down the dueling arena; students are forbidden from using spells in school corridors or casting jinxes on their classmates; underage wizards are forbidden from using magic outside school; wizards are forbidden from keeping Fantastic Beasts without permission; anyone without a license is forbidden from cultivating Chinese Chomping Cabbage; Apparition abroad without applying first violates the Wizarding Code of Conduct; the International Confederation of Wizards updated its entries on jinxes and curses; and the Imperius Curse, Cruciatus Curse, and Killing Curse were officially classified as the Three Unforgivable Curses...

After hearing all that, I decided that my existence would be far too dangerous, terrifying, and heinous a century from now. For the sake of world peace, I should move into Azkaban immediately.

A certain outstanding Slytherin graduate, who earned twelve certificates in her O.W.L.s and was assigned to Azkaban after graduation, laughed at me and said Azkaban had already been turned upside down by me, and wouldn't let me in even if I paid extra. I might as well go back to school.

After all, I'd shrunk from sixteen to a tiny eleven-year-old. I could easily return to school and start from scratch: win people over, build up my influence, seize power, kill and burn, and spark a glorious revolution in the wizarding world.

Huh? Me?

◆◇ Reader's Guide ◇◆

1. A Hogwarts Legacy spin-off. I wanted to enjoy some Dark Lord fare, so I made my own. It's essentially a free story, so don't complain about what's served when you haven't paid for it.

2. The heroine is the protagonist of Hogwarts Legacy. Her talent, strength, madness, and tolerance are all off the charts. The main character is the strongest.

3. There really is a reform storyline. It starts to take shape during the summer after first year and officially begins in third year.

4. Romance, but no official pairing. A Master Love story focused on the Order faction, with everyone having a one-sided crush on the heroine. She can move heaven and earth.

5. Let's respect each other. Don't bring me up under other stories, and I'll do the same.

6. The cover depicts the character design. The artist, Xiao Ruan's Bakery, takes commissions when she's in the mood.

Theme: Humanity creates magnificent glory!
